Graphic Design is considered any commercial project that combines elements such as typography, illustration, photographs, and colour design to convey a specific idea, feeling or message to support a product, company, organization, or event. Such projects may include logos, ads, fliers, brochures, rack cards, business cards, posters, book covers, branding and more. In-house designers will determine a clear project concept and description, the target audience, branding, style, colours, tentative budget, timeline, and outline who does what in terms of writing text, supplying photographs, proofreading and all other related requirements.

Prices may be subject to change depending on the size or material needed for the project to be completed. Please be aware that I do juggle a career and family matters on the side and while customer orders do take precedence I canNOT finish ANY Freelance project within a tight deadline. A minimum of a week is generally preferred notice if work is needed to be completed by a specific day. This is to ensure both client and customer are allowed enough time for "breathing" and both parties do not find themselves missing the deadline.

ALL INITIAL DESIGN FEES MUST BE PRE-PAID IN FULL-NO EXCEPTIONS.
Additional design fees must be paid IN FULL upon completion, at the time of pick-up, or prior to shipping. All printed product requires a minimum 50% Deposit with balance due in full at time of pick-up or prior to shipping. Taxes, shipping and insurance are EXTRA.

HOURLY DESIGN FEE - $25 per hour
All Graphic Design projects are charged by the hour at a rate that is determined by the individual design area of expertise. Calculate projects to typically be billed at the rates listed below.

LOGO BRANDING
Simple redesign of an existing logo - $75 to $150
Major Redesign of an existing logo - $150 to $350
Designing a branded logo from scratch to symbolically represent your company - $350
Original logo design typically delivers a minimum of three initial layouts for consideration with a single design delivered as "camera ready". Original design fees may, or may not, include copyright ownership. Additional fee may apply to obtain ownership and reproduction rights. See Copyright Notification to follow.

BUSINESS CARD LAYOUT-$50 to $75

STATIONARY, POSTCARD, LIFT CARD or RACK CARD LAYOUT - $50 to $350

BROCHURE LAYOUT-8.5"x11" 2-sided/Tri-Fold-$350 to $750 (Other sizes by estimate)
Cost depends upon the complexity of the project, the number of colours, fonts, photographs, condition of photographs (how much alteration, retouching and resizing is required), special effects, amount of layering, and number of proofs required.

ADDITIONAL FEES
EXTENSIVE REVISIONS
After the initial concept is approved extensive revisions are considered "author's alterations" and can be assessed additional charges. This cost will depend entirely on the hourly rate, the type and scope of the revisions, and amount of time required to execute changes. Extremely extensive revisions that change the nature of the project may require a new contract for which there is no refund of the original design fees.

EXTENSIVE COPY WRITING AND/OR EDITING - To be determined by hours required.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHIC MANIPULATION
In-studio small product photography-$35 to $75 per item
On-site digital capture-$150 to $350 plus expenses-3 Hours (Includes photo journalism, location shots and simple product photography.) Extensive photographic services requiring a professional commercial photographer and extensive lighting can be arranged. Costs determined by the individual photographer.

PRINTING COSTS
Printing costs vary depending on the type of project, specifications of paper stock, number of colours used, single or double-sided printing, coatings, if any, and number of pieces printed. All printing costs are by quote only.
All printing requires a minimum 50% deposit with balance due at time of pick-up or prior to shipping.

COPYRIGHT NOTIFICATION
All copyright laws are strictly enforced.
No copyrighted material, or suspected material, will be used in the production of any design or product and the Heirloom Art Studio reserves the right to refuse any work, design, or concept that may infringe on copyright or violate copyright laws.
Any original work created at the Heirloom Art Studio is the copyrighted property of the Heirloom Art Studio, and/or it's individual designers, and cannot be reproduced in any form, media, or derivation of the original without written permission from the Studio and design creator.
In cases where copyright is given, or sold, to the client additional fees may apply and contracts MUST be signed. No client my use, or reproduce, original artwork without legal documentation from the Heirloom Art Studio and the individual designer.
Copyright ownership, if given or sold, may be one time, limited use, or permanent ownership, but all conditions of use must be outlined in a signed and dated contract of "Copyright Transfer and Joint Copyright Ownership".
The Heirloom Art Studio and the creator of any original work retains the copyright ownership of all original work and has the right to display the artwork in their portfolio and use it for advertising and promotion purposes regardless of method or media.
